Hi Bazz...My mom rescued me 4 yrs ago. I used to be a strappy young fella in the hunter/jumper world, but now my mom and I do trails. When we lived in California I liked to wander thru the wine vineyards. Now we\'re in Virginia, boy it\'s hot and muggy here. The \"cool\" bathes are cool till mom get\'s water on my face - don\'t like that. I\'m brave around lots of things - horse eating rabbits fear me, and I learned to like plastic bags cuz they always have treats!!!! I even smile for food. And my fly mask shows how cool I really am. I start fashion trends at the stables.

I was born wild but was pretty friendly when girl approached me at a BLM adoption. Her mom thought I was a stud.. and said she could not have me. The girl cried and BLM said I was a gelding so mom said I could come home with them.
I was Dads horse and we had a lot of fun together until Dad died (I know it is true because mom was crying when she told me.) Now I am Beths horse and thats cool because she picked me out. I am learning to be a good boy wearing a saddle so we can ride together.
Mom says I am a bit of a trouble maker opening gates and doing the limbo so I can sneak some extra feed, but she says she will never sell me.

Symphony Solstice

I was born running free and captured as a yearling. After spending a year in BLM corrals with a bunch if other fillies I saw a lady at an adoption who crouched down to watch the horses in my pen. I looked at her through the other horses legs and decided to meet her. She started off offered me one just one finger and since it didn\\\'t seem all that scary, I let her tickle me with it. IT FELT GOOD! So I let her scratch me a bit and started following her along the fence. She left me there but came back the next day to take me home saying I haunted her dreams.
We have been together for 6 years and I\\\'m happy. I have a yard with other horses and I get to be the boss of them. My mom even lets me make some rules for her to follow.
There are a lot of things that I still do not think are good food for a mustang to eat, but I get lots of good hay, and carrots so life is good. So good my nickname is FattButt.
My favorite part of having a human is clean teats! Boy they get so itchy it drives me nuts! But I just let mom know and she cleans them right up for me.

Hi Bazz, I am the lucky horse who is now taking care of Big Joes mum. She says I am very handsome but I am not so sure: I know my ears are a bit small.

Im a fun guy and I like to do anything, really, especially eat. My mum says Im trustworthy so she lets me take her for walks and pop over little jumps. I didnt use to enjoy going round in circles much but it makes mum happy and she says Im really good at it, so Im starting to like it better.

Wasup there my bro? Im Shiloh and man the way youve got it, sometimes I wish it could be that way for me! I do it all, challenge the cows, jump the jump, and thats kinda it...Well a long time ago I was a fiesty lil thang but then I went somewhere and woke up and I hurt, nothing changed really, just hurt. And just recently, I went to the same place and woke up feeling naked! What happened to me? I live in Hamerica and my girl is Chick, my owners friends horse, man that quarter chocolate palomino is some fine stuff! But we arent allowd to have any kids and I dont know why. But whenever your owner gives you a bath, try drinking the fuzzy liquid in the bucket. Its delicious! I love it when I get to jump and show off to the girls. Hello! My name is babe and im a sorrel solid paint horse. And im a real diva. I live on a small farm in Connecticut. My only other equine friend is Lacie, shes a black quarter horse. Right now i have to stay in a small turnout so my knee will heel. Well what happened is i hurt my knee in a trailer and i needed surgery to take out the bone chips. But i feel much better now. Something i dont feel i get fed enough of are alfalfa cubes i LOVE those guys oh and Wheat Thins those are delicious! Theres not much to say about myself so im going to end. Ta ta for now folks!

I\'m Gaston and I gotta tell you, I met the scarriest thing EVER!!! My mom and I were out walking a month and a half ago and there was this human. He was riding the freakiest 4-wheeled, loud, obnoxious, hissing beast I have ever seen. They came storming at me so fast I just swung around and tried to bolt - you know the feeling right? Anyway that stupid beast made me freak out and know I\'m stuck in my stall with a hurtin\' leg. The doc says it\'s the meniscus and I can\'t work for about a year, SWEET!!! the only downside is I can\'t go outside with my mares, but at least I don\'t have to get wet when it rains and I get spoiled a little in the food department if you know what I mean.

Hi I\'m Lightning Bolt, although I go by LB, although mom calls me Elburs because she thinks the other two are too common. I\'m the light of her life, and she knows it. I was a ugly mess when I came to her, but she\'s prettied me all up and now I\'m the best little donkey around. I went to the States horseshow for 4H my first time out, and everyone thinks I\'m awesome for that. I can do everything the big horses can, just on a smaller scale. Mom says it melts her heart when I cry for her when she comes into the barn, but I do it because I know I\'ll get extra kisses. I\'ll wiggle my nose if I want a kiss, and I love pop ices and fritos. My new mum sadly lost her horse late last year - Diamond Jade and I was the only horse she tried out. I really like my new home.

Mum said its really hard to get a good photo of me because my head is a different colour to my body and it looks odd in a photo - I think I\'m pretty sexy really with my lovely coloured coat.

I\'m teaching mum to ride western and we hope to do lots of treking together. I\'ve got some odd paddock mates too - Charlie (the giraffe who is 17hh) and Brechan Bach Perri (the gnome is only 11.2hh).

Guess what? I\'m a Thoroughbred too (as far as I\'m concerned, the only breed) and I live in Oz - up near the big banana! I used to live down in this place called Taree, with my boyfriend Ally; but I\'ve left there now and I\'m happily single (I\'ve gotten over my heartbreak).
I raced when I was a filly, and though I\'m fast enough to win, I didn\'t try - so I ended up as a girl\'s riding horse! I did mainly showjumping with her. Now I\'m with my new mum, who is training me up for eventing - fun!
I live with two other horses - another TB called Gemma (who really, really hates me!) and a ASH called Cally (who is pregnant - due in 8 days!).
I get ridden 1 or 2 a day, and I really enjoy it! You should come and live up with me, Bazz, then you might enjoy being ridden too!
The one problem is, when it rains, we can\'t go riding. Apparently my mum is thinking of getting an indoor paddock for riding! Except there\'ll be no grass :(
I often go in the moving stable, to this place with lots of other horses. There\'s an indoor paddock there, except there are horses on the walls! There\'s a sexy TB there called Peter, and he\'s already asked me out twice! Except, I\'m waiting to see if you\'re free.

I'm a big, beautiful bay and I live in Alabama - Heart of Dixie ya know. I spend my days on the farm munching in the pasture with my buddies. Mom comes to see me nearly every day and I always get a treat. I'm still trying to figure out why she wants me to these silly figure 8's in the ring - I thought she could count higher than that by now! Anyway, she loves me bunches and I enjoy going on the trail rides with her. I like to see her jump when I pretend to be scared of a rabbit! hehe... By the way, those bags of death are nothing - mom showed me that, but ya gotta watch out for those little boxes on posts - never know what might jump out and get ya. Hey Bazz- Love the site man- Cool to see so many hot fillies! I live with 5 other boys but they know who's boss! I used to have to do all sorts of silly show stuff ( I was really good!)but mom finally came to her senses and we just trail ride. (fast walk towards home too!)I also take care of her Pygmy ( he is actually my little brother so mom says I have to take care of him- bummer) That is him in my picture I really wanted to bite him but mom was watching...*sigh* But she took me away from stupid humans who didn't feed me so I guess I can put up with the pygmy for her. Virginia is a cool place to live. It doesn't get too cold and it gets dark early so I get to lounge around all week. I get lots of apples and carrots and sometimes peppermints- not too many as they make me a bit crazy. I also love diet coke and gatorade. My grandad is Dancing Brave, making my great gandaddy Northern Dancer, just like your good self. We certainly inherited some great looks.
I got a raw deal though and live in cold Scotland! I was bred to hurdle but I didn't reach the track because my mum bought me and she wants me to event or something weird like that. I would have been a great legend though I am sure. Now that my Mum is backing me I like to show her in the field just how super fast I can go and still buck at the same time!!

My mum says that I am her baby, but she forgets that I am nearly 5 years old and so I can't really still be her baby, can I? But as long as she continues to treat me like her baby I don't really mind 'cos the treatment is pretty bluddy good all 'round! I am starting to be ridden at the moment, and I am going to be "the best bluddy endurance horse in the world" according to Mum. My daddy is the current best bluddy endurance horse in the world so I have got a lot to live up to. Such pressure! I don't mind being the best bluddy whatever in the world, but having to run 160km in under 9 hours is gonna to be a tough call. But if daddy can do it, I spose I can too. I know that you won't really like this idea Bazzy, but we can't all be paddock paintings like you. It's a tough job, but someone has to do it!

I have had a rough life and I was so happy when my human found me !!! I was unfortunate to fins myself with some one that only wanted me because of my beauty, but they seemed to forget that i need to eat and stuff so I was basically starved. Luckily my mom found me and whisked me away from all the growling tummies and shivering nights, she taught me that all humans aren't so bad. We were walking around the arena (indoor) minding our own business, mom did not have her attention on ME, as grandma was there to visit me and chat w/ mom....So to get her attention, I stepped left really fast.. and mom (I'm trying not to laugh), feel off me, and hit the ground HARD, she screamed for grandma, saying she could not move....I WAS SO SCARED that I broke my mom... Some lady grabbed me and to me to my cross ties... grandma untacked me, and Dan the barn owner to me right out side.... Mom was crying alot... She went to the doc's and the doc said she was luck she break every bone in her rear end... Since then mom rarley comes to see me and I over heard her talking about finding a dead broke horse.... Sure hope she don't mean, me to be dead.... What can I do to get mom here more???

Oh my Sassy, what ya done babe? My Dad came off me a couple of weeks ago and landed on his back and he was hurt but he's ok now. I think maybe your mom has lost her confidence a little. Doesn't mean she's scared of you just maybe a bit worried you might do it again.
I'm always shying and jumping when my dad rides me so he's sort of use to it, but they say your not really a good rider until you have fallen off heaps. If you have never come off your just sitting on it.
Maybe your Mum can spend some time doing some ground work with you to re-build some trust both ways. I think she should try riding you a little though, and if she does you should behave otherwise she might sell you and you don't want that eh?
